About the Board
The Uttar Pradesh Eco-Tourism Development Board (UPETDB) was established in August 2022 under the Department of Tourism in collaboration with multiple departments, including:
- Department of Environment, Forest, and Climate Change

FAM Tour
An exclusive Familiarization (FAM) tour was organized to promote UP’s Eco-Tourism hotspots to the international audience. Tour operators from England, America, Holland and Germany participated. FAM team visited Dudhwa National Park, Kishanpur Wildlife Sanctuary, Kartania Ghat Bahraich and Pilibhit Tiger Reserve.

Wildlife Custodian Award 2024 was awarded to Dudhwa Tiger Reserve at TOFTiger Event held at New Delhi on 6th Dec 2024

Aim: Foster collaboration for geo-tourism in UP's geological and paleontological sites.
Proposal by BSIP: Signage and thematic VR experiences Fossil-themed restaurants Geological field trips
Wildlife Institute of India
Initiative: WII's NMCG projects to conserve the Ganga River and tributaries.
Focus: Engage local communities through conservation education and sustainable livelihoods. - Employ Ganga Praharis for eco-tourism management on a revenue-sharing model.

Partnership: UPETDB & EMT collaborate to boost tourism in Uttar Pradesh.

- Nawabganj Bird Sanctuary tour completed on 12th Nov.
- Lakh Bahosi tour initiation underway.
